I have officially decided that Lake Shawnee was created just for Boogie and I. We venture the short 2.5 miles from our house to the lake nearly every morning for Jocie to ride her trike. We typically get a good 1-2 miles in and it is sometimes the best part of the day. This place is so peaceful and beautiful...the perfect little oasis. Don't get me wrong, I crave my tropical dream spot daily, but for now, this suits me/us perfectly.

They even have my favorite trees! I love Willow trees and how they sway in the wind...they're almost mesmerizing.

My favorite part of going to the lake is that there are sidewalks around the whole thing, big sidewalks, and Boogie can ride her bike freely. Her smiles and chattiness is priceless for me!

This is definitely an activity, therapy...whatever you want to call it...that we both enjoy! I'm beyond thankful that there is special equipment, like this AmTryke, that allows Jocelyn to enjoy a trike just like any other kiddo. She loves the wind in her face, being outside, feeling her body MOVE and again, you just can't buy that.
