2-in-1

I have been needing a light-weight communication board for quite some time to assist Jocelyn and I, so today was the day I finally made one. I am not quite sure why its taken me so long considering it cost less than $7 and took me under 10 minutes to make this simple little thing.

We actually already have a 2-in-1 board that came from the Kansas Deaf/Blind School and it works wonderfully, but its heavy and bulky. I know with a light-weight board it will be quicker and easier to stay consistent with our communication efforts.

The 5 things I used:
1) Poster Board - because its very sturdy, cheap (it was even on sale!) and light-weight
2) GO-Write Dry Erase Poster Board - came in a set of 3 and is thin as computer paper
3) 1 large, single piece of black felt
4) Spray Glue
5) Exacto Knife - its easier to use than scissors
 {poster board & glue -- there is even lots of board left over for whatever}
{black felt & dry erase board}

All that's needed is to spray the glue on the back of the dry erase board, stick it on the poster board with matching up the corners, and do the same thing with the felt. My only warning is to be careful not to get the glue on the dry erase part when spraying or with your dirty-little-glued fingers! ;) Since the dry erase board sheet was smaller than the felt, I cut everything to the size of the dry erase board sheet. Easy-peasy for sure!!

I'm so excited start using our board later today and especially since its both functional and light-weight!

Here's what it looks like -- pretty simple but will be very useful!!
 {Now we can practice writing indefinitely! Ha!}

{Sequencing tasks -- 1st we get in car, 2nd we ride bike}
